i'd call this one of Overlord's weaker plot points, but it does have some merits

It's a skill called Dark Wisdom. He unconsciously makes his moves to fit his agenda but his human self is unaware of it. It's safe to say that Momonga the undead overlord is the one doing it, while Satouru is just roleplaying.

If you notice, his weaker plots often becomes his path to victory.

Overlord is basically characters thinking they are playing 3D chess against ainz while in reality ainz and his gang are playing 10D chess while also being 2 Parallel Universes ahead of their opponents

Maybe more accurate to say he’s giving the illusion of playing 4D chess while never having learnt the rules but correctly using his subordinates to shore up his strategy and giving the illusion of control even to them

Hm... the lines in the dub are... kinda a mess especially for Jircniv. As the shrewd emperor, he should sounded posh and eloquent... speaking in a manner that make him look like he's having ways with words. But in the dub here, he sounded... stiff... like an actor try rehearsing the line from a drafted script.

For example, Look at the line here...
- In Dub "You'll be drowned in politic if you don't get out of this room right now."
- In Sub "Should I drag all of you into this muddy water with me?"
The wording in the Dub sounded harsh and crude like a threat while in the Sub sounded classy and refined like a courtly rhetoric.

Here another one
- in Dub "This is what peace look like."
- In Sub "What a peaceful scene."
The Dub sounded like Jircniv saying that this is how things should be while in the Sub it him lamenting that as this moment people doesn't know what's actually going on.

I don't know who or what kind of subber(s) did the sub in the episodes that got posted on the site here... But it seem like they have a better grasp on the dialogues writing than the one who did the dub lines.
I'm not a Dub hater (On the contrary, I love watching both versions side by side). So I really hope for the Dub to do as good as (or at the very least decent enough to go along with) the Sub.

Dub sometimes change a character personality or means. It happens all the time actually. Here the dubbers decided to show a king knowing his mistakes and admiring while fearing his enemy. If u ask me I find the adaptation refreshing and interesting to watch.

I agree, i usually prefer sub but i love the dub on overlord, the VA fits very well
